The Dragon
I first met the red-eyed one, a grand blue and white drake. He showed me a world beyond worlds. He taught me how to fly on dragon wings. A guardian, a keeper fierce in sight, but eyes that smile and say, “There's nothing to fear. Come with me.”
The Father
I see him. All cold steel and carefree, but pull away the mask and find the youth and the scars beneath. His fears are not for himself, but for the young life in his arms. He holds it close and folds his great wings about it. Standing firm as the world around them falls away...
