I think this is my biggest project so far: Hobbes!Sooooooo much satin stitching but i'm extremely happy with the results!
Hobbes is 16 inches tall. He is made of minky, with embroidered eyes and mouth. His scarf is made of flannel.
He was a commission and not for sale.

Did you satin stitch all the stripes on by hand or did you use a sewing machine? Or are all the stripes sewn together from their edges? Sorry for the annoying questions, but this is the best Hobbes I've ever seen!

They're all stitched on by machine using a satin stitch (appliquer method). It took a few hours just to put the stripes on!
I find fleece is good for learning to make plushies, but you get much nicer results with minky. And it has a similar stretch to fleece so it's an easy transition
