As someone from Dixie, I've always been surrounded by people who viewed the Confederate battle flag rather neutrally if not positively. I can not deny that, in the modern day, it has found a use as a symbol for the culture of Dixie, racist or not. However, I also can not deny the fact that it was a flag for white supremacists to rally behind in their war to keep people enslaved in perpetuity.

So, in the spirit of reconciliation and goodwill, here's a flag that I hope can replace the old flag in the use of representing Dixie's culture. It still has the shape of the old flag, not denying the history that Dixie has, all the good and the bad, but it casts off the rebellious red and the stars which represent the rebellious states of 1861.
