I made these sketches of Tiaropsis multiciratta from life. We recently got some of these jellies at the Aquarium where I work, and I've been itching to draw them. Today I got the chance. These sketches are much larger than life: the largest Tiaropsis I saw was about a centimeter in diameter. Much of the work in these sketches was me trying to memorize the body plan of the jelly. The traditional life drawing approach of measuring with a pencil at arms length does not work when your subject is the size of a pea and constantly moving.
