You know, I tried watching a movie called 'White Noise' once, when I was 9 or so.....it was creepy and I couldn't get into it. o.o I digress, however.
Wow dear, the detail put into this is really awesome. Looking at the muzzle makes my hand cry a little; that must have been freaking TEDIOUS. o.o This is really awesome though! >w<
As for having interest in colouring it, I might have to take you up on that; in fact, I'm definitely interested. I haven't really gotten to colour anything in awhile since I've been doing mostly....somewhat rough sketches of pieces I plan to finalize in the future, and stubbornly refuse to use the colouring pencils I have since I really need to practice my skills with colouring using traditional media. I've been wanting to colour something for awhile though and practice a few techniques on my tablet, and I think this would be really fun to....not really experiment with, per-say, but to at least see how it turns out when it comes to focusing on lighting and details. So yes; in the long and short, I'm definitely interested. ^w^

Oh my OvO Creepy movies can be pretty interesting though :u
Thank you! It was. I wanted to quit and do the longer fur first but I pushed through >w>" <3
Oh my! Well, if so, [link] justforyou VwV Ah color pencils are the one medium I need to stop drawing with, mainly so that I can branch out and become more confident in other mediums! I always end up fleeing back to color pencils when a medium frustrates me @w@ I'd be happy to share some tips sometime.
Thanks for the comment! It's been a while since I've talked to ya! How've you been these past few weeks?

D'aww, I feel all special now! >w< Thanks so much, dear!
Ah, you lucky duck. I'd just be content with being able to use colored pencils properly rather than focusing on branching out to more mediums, but I can see your point! ^w^ I've pretty much gotten shading down, like with colouring a body of water lightly in the foreground and adding more pressure as I colour into the background, and things like that. My problems are with creating shadows on features [like the shadows you would see on a somewhat turned face when being shone in the light and stuff as such] and just trying to make the colour black seem more interesting. I came across this picture once...well, a few pictures like this, where the black colouring seemed to hold a blue hue. I've tried shading blue on first and then tried building the black up on top of it [but not all the way so the blue was noticeable], I've tried applying the black first, but it still doesn't seem to come out right. And with shadows, well, there was this one time recently where I had been drawing a fox and decided to colour it. It wasn't an anatomically 'correct' fox in any way [but it still looked pretty awesomesauce if I do say so myself. =w=] since realism gets on my nerves and I like giving the things I draw a sort of....stylistic appearance. Anyway, the blending of the oranges and reds that I was using was turning out better than I had hoped, and I ended up working up the nerve to try and add on shadows on the features I felt would be less illuminated. At first, I just tried colouring the parts with red and orange with more focus on those areas, and eventually grew annoyed and experimented with a black pencil. Needless to say, it didn't end well and I ended up turning those supposed-to-be-shadowed areas into murky mustard-brown blotches. T'was a sad day in the land of 'Who'. ._. I have no idea what happened though; I'm not sure if I somehow ended up pressing too hard or something. It wasn't like I was colouring the whole area black or anything though, so it was probably something else; I'm not sure what though....
And you're welcome; again, thanks for putting up the colourable version for me! And yes, it feels like it's been ages wince we've talked. I've missed you! *insert dramatic but obligatory running-toward-you-with-arms-outstretched-for-a-glomp scene* x3 Anyfloot, I'm doing quite well! I got off of summer vacation a month ago, which was quite uneventful except for the fact that I went hunting for the quite elusive 'part-time job'. It seems that he has evaded my grasp yet again, however. Clever little fella, isn't he.... I did, on a higher note, get my learner's permit for driving. And my 11th grade year has had a pretty smooth start; smoother than I was expecting. We're a month away from being done with the first quarter and I haven't been failing anything yet, so that's a plus. x3 How have you been? Anything interesting happen lately? .....Or anything uninteresting, whichever you prefer to tell. xD

Well pure black is a tricky thing to use because it makes everything muddier. One of the most important lessons I've learned with color pencils is to blend your colors into black...mainly using red, blue, and yellow. Combine those three and you have an instant black that will look much better with your colors, and you can adjust the level of darkness by how many layers of said red, blue, and yellow you apply to the shadows. In fact, you should try making a piece of artwork using only the primaries, making all the other colors by blending...it's so very helpful once you understand it! Also, when using any color palette, a good tactic is using complementary colors for lights/shadows. For example, if you're coloring a brown wolf/creature, using purple and yellow will accent the brown very nicely. A red fox would look nice with blue (or even green) shadows. To tell the truth, purple/blue shadows are the ones I use the most.
You're very welcome :3 Hope it helps you practice coloring fur, or just coloring in general! Yeh I have literally no time for writing anymore, haven't been on gaia in ages :c And lol Good to hear, happy to know you're well :3 I'm alright, other than the business of it all, I'm enjoying my activities. Giving blood soon, I'll finally find out what blood type I am so that'll be nice :u

Ohh, see I see. So you have better control and freedom of how dark you want the shadows by doing that instead of just using black. It makes sense! Thank you very much dear, I'll be sure to try that! ^w^
Heh, I haven't really been on gaia for months, except when I feel bored and just check for PM's. *shrug* But geez, you're braver than I am; I can't stand being around hypodermic needles and schizz, I freak out and usually end up in tears. =_= Tch, makes my physicals terrible to go to. x3 Kudos to you though, have fun with that! ....Or as much fun as you can with something like that. >.>
