You have been visited by a Critmas Fairy! We fairies are trying to show the world we can give critique to others without being downright criticising, as per the spirit of CRITmas (fav.me/daqfq97 ). Mind if I just hop on to business, then?
First things first: congratulations on this lovely picture! There's so much I'm liking about it: the large flower on the fan, her hair, the difference in colour in the magical effects. All very nice, indeed.
There's frankly but one thing I have something of an issue with, and that is the following.
When you consider the parts that are crisp and clear compared to those that are outt of focus or unrefined, the heart of the composition gets reduced to but a small portion crammed all the way up in the upper left portion of the canvas. The upper half of the fan serves as a barrier that effectively walls it in, so to speak. That's a bit of a shame.
Composition in art and how to 'lead the eye' is a very interesting thing to read up on, and for which there are resources aplenty: even a quick search on 'the rule of thirds' will yield numerous and inspiring results. I suggest you give that one a try!
This is all I've got. May 2017 prove to be prolific and fun, with much much much more works like this one forthcoming.
Have a nice day now!
Cheers,
BATTLEFAIRIES
PS: don't mind the stars; I dislike this rating system so I just give everyone the same
