Hello thrynk: Awesome theme!, thanks.

I have a problem with white background color for windows open in the panel and the xfce4-mixer applet in the systray [link]

About the white background for windows open I dont know how remove this, I checked the windows and panel config settings but I don't find any option related. And about the blank line and the blank background xfce4-mixer applet I dont know what do too, for the moment only I disabled the systray-frame because this makes the systray completely blank. And I don't using the windows effects (in window manager compose settings) because it makes the systray completely blank too, same happens when I use fawn.emerald and compiz.

I'm using pixmap-engine (aur/gtk1-engines 0.12-2 [installed]), mist-engine is installed on XFCE default in Arch Linux with the Mist Theme. I use xfwm-fawn window manager.

¿How I fix this white background on the panel?

XFCE
Arch Linux

This theme seems need to be update because the new engines updates has maked old themes not usable: [link]
I tried many ways but is impossible to fix the bad appearance. It also happens with other gtk themes you have.

thrynk: Hopefully you can update and fix these awesome themes and we can still using this.

Hi really love the style of your theme. I am using windows vista and recently i downloaded the Pidgin IM program. It installed GTK+2 at the same time. I found the theme selector program that was installed. However, I'm not sure what to do after this in order to apply your theme. If you have time, do you think i could get a little help? Thank You

Sorry, but this is for linux distributions using flux/openbox as their window manager, it won't work for windows. You can probably find a theme like this for Vista somewhere else, but at the moment this is linux-only.

Awesome theme.

I installed ubuntu a few days ago and am still trying to learn how to use it. I was able to change the window decorations with "emerald --replace" but how can I change the taskbar?

Nevermind, figured out that you just change it yourself.

Scratch that... I can only change the background that way.

Simply put, you make me want to have linux, can I install it on any computer, and b, can I have two OS's at the same time without two hard drives? If so im gonna get linux and begin learning, all while having good old XP to fall back on ^^

makosanders In reply to JasonStones [2008-01-31 06:48:13 +0000 UTC]

You've gotta partition the disk, which means, you'll either use a small reserve partition that's already there or you'll have to reformat it to make preferable partitions.

Linux has a lot of the work-flow improvement features Mac has, it's really effective. You'll find Windows pretty stale and limited once you have a good try.

But reinstalling windows and moving all your stuff over is a lot of work. You should back up your stuff anyway though so take that leg out of the equation and it's not so bad.

I might just do that, I have been wasting so much time on my computer, and I've learned how to do a few complicated things, but I want to go deeper, maybe start messing with c++ and stuff like that, linux would be the perfect classroom. But do I have to reinstall the xp OS that I already have on here? Not that I mind doing it, I do it alot but...I finnaly got my system to a place where its basically a tank, it would be so frustraiting to do that again c.c you know what, imma go do my google thing and research the crap out of this, thanks for all the help ^^

I don't know. I was just starting to get some use out of the free 2005 version of visual basic.NET when my XP xploded and demotivated me.

xD That shit happens, just happened to me yesterday, it just played possum so I shot it in the head, reinstalled my OS and put all my programs on it the way I like, my mistake was trusting an unknown antivirus softwear, sopposedly its the best one rated by a few diffrent sites but for me, nortan antivirus all the way. If you want to get back into XP you got to be prepaired for pain, lots of pain, and suffering ofcource ;D

JasonStones In reply to makosanders [2008-02-03 15:05:13 +0000 UTC]

No, it was uuhh, avira? Or was it the other, I cant, ohh wait, bit deffender, it was rated as the best because it takes up very little system resorces, I was trying to play oblivion and even when I managed ram with speed up my pc, nortan was just too much and the little messages I coulndt disable were killing the game aswell, but I got nortan again, and Im done with oblivion, not finnished but done, im so dissapointed in bethadas, their like jaded rockstars now, the game was broken, period.

makosanders In reply to JasonStones [2008-02-04 03:59:51 +0000 UTC]

How much shit did you put up with before you realized Oblivion wasn't worth it?
I've never played it. What're bethadas? This sounds interesting.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JasonStones In reply to makosanders [2008-02-04 14:52:03 +0000 UTC]

Bethadas is the company who made it xD. You know what, I didnt take so much at first, i just slowly started to realize that the NPC leveling with you was retarded, the economics engine was fucked up along with the item weight, a glass dagger weighs nine pounds? A glass war ax weighs twenty something? Its FUCKING GLASS MORONS! They werent being realistic with any of it, then ontop of that, the only way to make the game playable after level twenty is to cheat, WTF!? You can only by nine potions in a week from one place, I need like a fucking hundred to survive one dungeon, and how the fuck do you know this is stolen!?!?! -Pants.- Fourty hours of my life I'll never get back...But atleast I got it pirated so I cant complain too much, just enough to count ;D. Anyways, this is the twentysomethingth message, imma add you as a watched deviant, and im sure the author is pritty pissed that were leaving so many comments that have nothing to do with the skin xD woops, anyways, im jason, but your probably figured that one out and no, I dont stone, but I was stoned when I made this account four years ago <👍: 0 ⏩: 0

thrynk In reply to JasonStones [2008-01-31 04:39:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you can install it on a computer and yes you can have two OS's on the same hard drive. That is what I use.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JasonStones In reply to thrynk [2008-01-31 16:14:57 +0000 UTC]

~makosanders gave me a rundown on it and now im gonna go learn ^^ once I get linux, pirated or otherwise (they wouldnt get a dime out of me anyways, I dont have a dime to give.) Im gonna use you skin, it reminds me of the old days for some reason, and it reminds me of when dot hack sign was a good game, I have only one game for my ps2 and thats it, I felt nastaulgic or however you spell it, sat down, fired it up and was disgusted by the repetitive crap v.v sucks, anyways, once again, nice ^^
