With the title and vagueness of some parts of the sketch, I kinda interpreted it as a loose sci fi take on the norse creation myth, specifically the weird way Ymir asexually produced the jotnar. Riffing off that I could see this as a nano machine giant making smaller copies off himself through the material he's gathering from the tunnel around him, and some baseline humans watch on.
So instead of that guy being pulled to safety, hes being pulled by a fellow robo/cyber clone (or Jotunn) out of the protoplasmic froth they're being born from, and the Ymir figures arms, especially those fingers could be extending to harvest resources to feed down into his "children"

Alien + The Thing = Ymir!
Hey, I also saw that Rick and Morty episode the other night of Rick's mini world in his car battery! Lol! I loved it, Jacob got the first and second season so we were watching a whole bunch of episodes!
