Yet another pseudo-Deathworld narrative scene, kind of a crude parallax sequel or companion piece to

This time with the protagonist (possibly but not necessarily the poor sap from Death Hard q.v.) desperately clinging to the tail end of some kind of massive, multi-wheeled mining/construction vehicle or cargo hauler. He's angling for a shot upwards through the ramp to distract/deter/discourage/disable/impede/kill the Bad Guys, presumably so he can safely escape or surreptitiously reenter the vehicle to his tactical advantage.

Not that it's really vital to the story, but I envisioned the hero's gun as a revolver chambering slim Microjet-style self-propelled bullets (calibers are significantly smaller even for rocket projectiles in this era due to advances in propellant chemistry). His pursuers wield semi-automatic handguns loaded with similar Microjet-style rounds featuring explosive tips.
