Description
There's a rarely considered theory as to the Origins of the Demonic threat, the belief being that the Demons are actually Humans that have joined the Legions of Hell and are now among the unholy armies.

The next stage of Homo-sapien... is Deimos-sapien. A State of being that frees Humans from the confines of the Primate origins they stem from and free them from the pain of life and death as they finally become Eternal. Of course, this power has its price, Humans that achieve this status become practically barbaric, slaves to their Id as their conscience is smother by their bloodlust and constant hunger for pain. The only way to satiate this perpetual starvation is by culling and torturing living organisms, for some reason, it requires suffering...and the Demons never get enough of this feeling.
