Sketches like these are the only thing I have time for nowdays, but one more month and my first year at art college is over!ĀBallpoint pen drawing on sketchbook paper, texture added digitally.

Well I guess they are very different in each country.Ā
I have mixed feelings about mine, there are a lot of helpful and useful classes, figure drawing and color theory for example. Most classes challenge me to step out from my comfort zone, which is very positive.
However what bothers me is that the teachers are very scornful towards students that love fantasy themes. That makes my personal work very unpopular and not welcome.
But I can live with that. After 3 years I'll get a BA as a traditional painter, so it's not like this situation is going to last forever.

Hmmm...the classes sound cool, but I'm definitely not ok with skeptical art teachers. They're kinda supposed to push you and encourage you creatively...not discourage it. At least, that's how I feel.
