When I first was introduced into the world of Naruto, Wolf cropped up as my first ever OC.

Eventually, Saya and Arianna made their appearances in my mind as a three person squad.

Putting a Hyuga and an Uchiha together was a fun idea for me as they always seemed to butt heads. All. The. Time.

But, once Saya lost both her brothers, Wolf did her best to comfort her and be her friend.

And when Wolf found out she had lost Neji...Saya returned the favor.

I feel they're connected through this mutual little thing, even after Sasuke is accepted back into the village, Saya still sticks close to Wolf almost all the time.
