Third illustration for chapter 8 of Conflicted Omens. Here we meet the 14 year old Adam, who will become Adam Young. A perfectly innocent, normal boy who has a big part to play in the End of the World.

All three adults turned towards the door. A boy of about fifteen had his hand on the handle... Mrs. Young forgot about the babies as she became captivated by this newcomer. He was tall and thin, his hair a pale golden ginger that almost seemed to glow, as though it was surrounded by a halo. His round face held piercing green eyes, like the grass of a lush summer field.
