it's said that he was once an ordinary clown who was caught sleeping under the big top when lightning struck down on the top of it transforming him into the clown that you see right now. this seems sketchy at best and a lie at worst, considering that the Playland Circus was only home to "dust and cobwebs". After all, what clown would willingly live in a place with conditions so severe, past employee or not? Either way, the others bought the story without a second thought. He does love to entertain, but he hates crybabies, and especially people who laugh at him in pity.

Sometime after so much humiliation , the already somewhat warped clown snapped from his remaining threads of sanity, ending up going on a murder spree toward all of those who'd pity laughed at him in the past. When he was done, he came back to Clayland circus, and although no one's sure whether his intentions were benign or not, he joined in the acts. At some point, Bonker's mischievously bad attitude, as well as his increasingly psychotic prank-playing, caused him to be given the boot from Clayland along with his pet balloon poodle, Fifi.

Bonker uses several clowny gadgets to fight such as a big hammer, pies, a squirt flower, airhorns, cannons, a unicycle, a banana peel, even his own springy head and soles and so much more!
