The silence of the isolation she was in suddenly exploded with waves of voices. Chloe shut her eyes, her head was burning as if it was next to the sun.

"I shouldn't have expected anything more than this from my sorry excuse of a daughter." she heard fathers voice say inside her head as she heard the muffled sound of the machine reading her vitals go crazy with beeping.

Her fathers voice was louder and more clear then the voices that whizzed inside her head. She felt nothing but anger at those words. He was the one who caused her so much pain. She felt a wave of energy release from inside her body. Glass shattered all around her the pain in her head fading only to be replaced by a searing pain all down the right side of her body. The pain was numbed in her rage. She felt herself softly land in the puddle of water that was now flowing out of the shattered tank. She looked up, eyes locking with her fathers, her pupils glowing white with her new gift of Psionic abilities, warm blood crawling down her face from her nose. The voices in her head quieting into incoherent muffles as she felt her mind lock into her fathers. Her father sitting up from the explosion stared back at her with surprise. She wanted one thing while staring at her father. Pieces of glass started to float around her, obeying her thoughts. "This will teach them to steal my funding" her father thought as his words echoed into her head.

"How does the power feel my lab rat?" he asked smiling while chuckling with confidence.

Chloe died the moment she heard those words. His confidence slowly faded into terror as his daughter replied, not with her voice but with her thoughts. Two words echoed into her fathers mind. Those two words granted her rebirth, the birth of a ghost. The birth of a Poltergeist. "Goodbye father."
