Description
My costume for Desucon this year. I have wanted to make a faun for years, so when some friends decided to have a faun group I grabbed the chance to join in. It's the first time I've put this amount of work into an original character, and I have to say I really enjoyed the freedom it gave me. it is also one of the most authentic costumes I've ever made, so I got to work with materials such as leather and wood, which was very enjoyable.

I also joined the outfit-competition at desucon for the first time, something I've been sort of wanting to do for years, and amazingly I got first place! I was amazed as there were some truly stunning outfits there, and very happy everyone seemed to like my costume a lot.

The most exciting thing was making the digitgrade legs. it's my first time doing anything like that and I was very worried if I was gonna get it right. they turned out prette nice though, so I'm more confident now in future fursuiting projects. Although I might have to find some cooling solution as I went dancing for half an hour in these legs and I nearly died from the heat (ended up dressing down to just the legs and the patchwork top)

The venue had just about no good places for a photoshoot, so there aren't that many good pictures. We were lucky enough to find some bushes to get this one, but the whole thing was kind of rushed as there were actual monster mosquitoes around (I swear, I lost so much blood on this shoot...) so no one felt like staying around for too long. I'll do my best to get a proper shoot in the forest here sometime after I get of work, which I'm currently spending 12 hours a day at...

Hopefully I'll also get to use this at a larp in the future, although I'll have to reinforce the hooves if I'm to walk around the forest...
