Basic Story Premise: In this take Sonic.exe is simply a completely fake copypasta made to fool idiots into thinking some demon was in their cartridge and taking over their game similar to those annoying fake discord posts that are constantly shared around or whatever the fuck. However some troll decided to take the time to create a virus that could actually do something similar to what the copypasta says and later randomly posted it on multiple forums and websites where the copypasta would usually be posted, naming it 'zumnek.exe' and saying "DO NOT DOWNLOAD ZUMNEK DA HEGEVUG HE IS VERY BAD AND EVIL AND SCARY
(((((" obviously people thought it was a joke due to how ridiculous it sounded and got the worst virus imaginable because people are idiots i guess?The virus itself pretty much takes over your entire computer and corrupts all the games you have to include" Zumnek Da Hegevug" in em which has 2 forms.
The first form appears to be a spoof of the original main character of the game, acting like the stereotypical fanon parody of the character and while it isn't usually hostile unless the parody of the character is, it WILL immediately confuse you as to why Sonic keeps talking about being hip and cool and wanting chilli dogs, while you are forced to play as Tails.
The second form is when it starts to show its true colors and starts fucking with you in numerous ways, changing and adding random files, playing random loud music or sounds (the sounds usually appear to be XXXX), and finally corrupting the entire game and turning the entire cast into a shell of their former selves. (speaking of that, they literally ARE a shell of their former selves due to you still being capable of seeing Sonic, stuck inside of Zumnek and screaming for help.)
