One, Mako NEEDS THE WHITE IN HIS EARS so I quite simply COULD NOT WAIT ANY LONGER.
Two, the infection and the trauma Mako went through during the spite attack ended up with him needed to get his foot amputated to save his life. For now in his canon he's still wearing the bandage and is pretty messed up, I plan on doing some sad stuff with that at some point >:3c
Three, this is gonna be his teenage stage for a while. It's not his full grown, adulty adult stage, just like... level one adult stage. XD Someday he'll get his cool markings and get hot, but for now he's kinda scraggly. Even though I don't think I drew that entirely correctly, haha
