Background
~Biography:
Ashley’s paternal grandfather is a muggle, born in Peru. He attended Cardiff University and after he graduated, he decided to permanently immigrate to Wales. In Wales, he met Ashley’s paternal grandmother, a witch by the name of Gladys. The two of them had three children, two of which were magical and one of which was a squib.
Maritza, Ashley’s mother, grew up in Mexico and attended a wizarding school in the Americas. Maritza’s mother is of Cuban and Samoan descent and was born in Cuba. She attended the same wizarding school as Maritza and Maritza’s father. Ashley’s maternal grandparents met in school and got married a few short years after graduating. They lived in Mexico, where Maritza’s father had lived his whole life. They had four children; Maritza was the third.
After Maritza graduated from the wizarding school in the Americas, she moved to London to apply for a job at the Ministry (specifically for a job in the Department of International Magical Cooperation). There she met Ashley’s father, Esteban, who’d been working as an intern at the Ministry for the past year and a half. Overtime, their relationship blossomed and they ended up marrying and settling down in London. Their first two children were born in London. When Maritza got pregnant with their third child, they decided to move back to Wales where Esteban’s family lived. There they had their next six children, including Ashley.
The Bolívar-García family was a close-knit family, with the exception of Tomás, who had trouble relating most of the time. He would play quidditch with his siblings and the neighbors and spend time with everyone but he never meshed as well. It wasn’t until he graduated from Hogwarts and began living away from the family and going his own path did he start to find more comfort and peace with his family.
Ashley was accepted to Hogwarts when she was eleven but showed clear signs of magic from a much younger age. As she grew up, she showed a passion for magic and learning. She read her siblings school books and learned a lot about magic before she even got her letter to go to Hogwarts.
It wasn’t a surprise when Ashley was sorted into Ravenclaw. She’s done incredibly well in that house and she works hard to get good grades.
