Description He was the wizard
Of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him
One night wandering.

He told me tales and he
Drank my wine.
Me and my magic man kinda
Feelin' fine!
-"The Wizard", Uriah Heep

I don't have a digital camera, so I scanned it in a couple pieces, but here is the wizard, finally finished after like a year of putting it off.

It did! The stippled part drove me nuts and I wound up putting it down for eight months before I could bring myself to finish it. *lol* Thanks!

It was actually burned directly into the wood.

There is a tool called a woodburner. It has interchangeable tips, and you just plug it in and burn the image onto the wood.

your detail work is incredible! How many hours go into a piece like this?

themeindzeye In reply to Corrinthia [2009-04-21 22:32:23 +0000 UTC]

It averages about 6 hours for the large, bark-edged pieces.

Thanks so much. ^_^
