The atmosphere you've created here is just so vivid. I could picture the temperature or even myself there down to how fine the sand is.
Amazing work : D

Cheers! This one is probably going to be one of my favorites from this year for sure and I have no idea where this came from, haha.

I would love to hear your take on this! The story YOU gave the image. It's so beautiful it only has me thinking of countless things...

Great concept and so well executed! This reminds me of Antelope Canyon.
Fantastic work.

Ansestor.
Thats what they said wasnt it? Of a time long ago, in a land forgotten. Of a people who destroyed themselves in their hubris
Thoughts continued to swarm the explorers head as they stared at the wedged skull. They lacked the intelect of many to be sure, but they were not foolish enough to get trapped looking for food. No.
This was placed here. Intentionally. But why? There was no signs of civilization for miles, let alone the fact that there was no companion skeleton above.
Someone was here. Someone wedged this skull on purpose. But why...?

Interesting take on it, Jcbq! I wont spoil my idea on it so I wont ruin all the fun of speculation ;D

The composition and size scale of the skeleton still gives it a feared vibe... even long after it's perished. Excellent piece.

*irresistible urge to play Monster Hunter for some reason.*
Seriously dough, that's neat. I don't think I've seen another painting quite like it. It's a strange scene. I don't know if it's the best idea to stand beneath a skull great as that one; all that erosion... it could slide loose any moment! Get outta there lizard dude! What are you doing? D:
'Course I'd probably do the same thing. Lookin' up through a skull like that would be kinda cool. Makes me wonder what they're seeing, what with fractured light falling through and all that. Probably a sight worth the risk.

oooohh, dont mention monster hunter! I have been wanting to play that for so long, but unfortunately nintendo seems to hold all the rights to it and I don't own any nintendo consoles D:
When you have been walking through the dark sandy caverns down there, you'll take any light you can get, and the light filtering through the bones in the skull would create an interesting mix of light and shadow when viewed from that angle.

Lol, I say that pun was rather....bare to the bone XDΒ
But seriously, I do love this piece a TON. It is very, very unique and I really like the atmosphere. Poor rex must have fallen his head into a hole and wasn't able to get out with his tiny arms. Nature is cruel.
