Also to be fair, that "Spinosaurus" technically wasn't even a Spinosaurus, but a super-hybrid like the Indominus and Indoraptor. Yes, all the dinosaurs in the movies are hybrids, but they're mostly about 90% pure dinosaur and 10% modern animal (i.e. a "Triceratops" in the movie has 9-10% frog DNA), while the Indominus is only about 30-50% actually T. Rex (base genome). So the JP3 Spino is probably only about 30-40% actually Spinosaurus; it is as much an actual Spinosaurus as much as the Indominus is an actual Tyrannosaurus. So it makes sense that it could take on a mostly-pure T. Rex the way the Indominus Rex did.
