Description Uh, yay! My first deviation, I’m kind of excited. Anyway, this is just sort of a AU. It features Brokenstar meeting Firepaw for the first time at the gathering. I think my design really fits him. I never really liked the idea of him just being a dirt brown or something. I like this better. Anyways, I’m gonna do the thing where authors make a little story in the description of a artwork. Here we go, I’m not too good at it though. D:

“Firepaw! This is our first gathering, come sit with us!” Graypaw called. Firepaw turned to see his two best friends, Ravenpaw and Graypaw, choosing a spot in the crowd.

“Uhh, that’s great. I’m coming.” Firepaw replied, walking towards them.
Suddenly, a huge, dark figure ran right into him. He stumbled back, who could be this clumsy-? As he peered up to see who he stumbled into, Firepaw saw a dark gray figure, who he almost couldn’t see in the dark light. The full moon was right above their head.

“Oh! Uh- I’m so sorry, like- really-“ Firepaw said, apologizing. The cat he had bumped into didn’t look angry, rather amused.

“You’re fine. My name’s Brokenstar, the leader of Shadowclan. And you are?” Oh. Just great. It’s my FIRST gathering and I ran head first into the Shadowclan leader.

The cat was massive, larger than any cat he had ever seen in Thunderclan. Maybe slightly larger than Tigerclaw, who was already huge. Firepaw mustered up a reply.
”Oh, yes, yes. My name’s Firepaw. I’m a new apprentice.”

“I haven’t heard of your name before, not even last gathering. Who’s your mother?”

That embarrassed Firepaw. But he didn’t want to make the conversation awkward.

”I’m.. a kittypet. I uh, joined Thunderclan recently.” Firepaw said.

Brokenstar narrowed his eyes, but sat down to continue the conversation. “Oh, really? How… amusing. Tell me, do cats like you there?”

Firepaw thought about that for a second. Most of the cats accepted him by now, but Tigerclaw and his friends seemed to despise his presence.
”Some cats dislike me. They’re still salty about me.” Firepaw tried to be honest, but he was right. Longtail had tried fighting him for no reason, and Darkstripe would bend over backwards to kiss Tigerclaw’s paws.

“That’s sad. In Shadowclan, everyone treats each other equally. I have strong warriors, good prey, and nice territory.” Brokenstar said, now slightly shifting. Suddenly, Firepaw had finally realized that Brokenstar had a Russian accent, not that it mean anything, but Firepaw had always imagined cats with Russians accents were bad luck.

“That’s great! In Thunderclan, it’s fine too. Bluestar is nice and all, but Tigerclaw’s too dramatic. He tries getting me in trouble. He’s an absolute brute with Ravenpaw too, his own apprentice is scared of him!” Firepaw was pretty much complaining, and being disrespectful. But it was true. Firepaw felt like this was one of those cats he could tell his darkest secrets too without missing a beat,
“Oh, that’s horrible. You should feel at home with your clan, not being able to complain about the warriors like that. In Shadowclan.. everyone is safe. And if you joined my clan, you would be known as the greatest warrior in the clans..”
By now, Firepaw was slightly suspicious. But he was intrigued. “I’m listening..”
“Oh, if you join Shadowclan.. you’ll NEVER regret it, in fact, come next gathering. We’re starting soon.”

“Oh, okay! I’ll see you next gathering!” Firepaw said, before turning and going to sit next to his friends as Brokenstar walked away.
”Why were you talking to that hobo?” Graypaw asked.

“Graypaw! That was Brokenstar, you’ve never heard of him?” Ravenpaw hissed.

“He gives me bad vibes. Don’t talk to him too much.” Graypaw said, clenching his jaw.

“I… guess you’re right, then.” Firepaw said with a sigh. He knew he should listen to his friends, but he couldn’t help but feel.. intrigued.

Guess I’ll find out next gathering.
