ahhh..my friends have been bugging me 2 upload this 3-part series since it was finished last semester [i did it during the month of June i think]....the thing was.. it was too big to scan in one go.... so.... 2day i scanned the images in sections and put'em 2gether in Photoshop... the 1st two pieces are A3 size, and the last one is A2 [so they're pretty big]. All this was done for skool, for the subject called 'drawing and painting'. I don't paint.. so i drew for my finals instead..

Instead of Snow White and the 7 Drawfs.... i did

Snow White & the 7 Deadly Sins.....

this is part 1 : The queen

this one here took me about one & a half hours to complete.... i quite like this...

Well, 1st image of this Snow White Series is of the Queen. If you don’t already know the story behind her, is that she is the stepmother of Snow White. This queen is also a woman who prides herself of her beauty, and no doubt she is a beautiful woman, yet still nothing in comparison to Snow White’s beauty. So I decided to draw her as with beauty shown (tried to show beauty as much as I could). It was kind of hard to draw he because I wasn’t sure on how I should draw her clothing, I mean, what does a queen where exactly? All I knew was that she had to look posh, and she had to have a crown, and so those were my main focus in drawing her. Though with this piece, I had to make her look evil without making her ugly, and luckily I managed (well to me she looks pretty evil). In the story, the Queen was also known to have a magical mirror, which she asked questions to. So I decided to also illustrate her magical mirror, though in a different way. Instead of drawing a framed mirror, I drew a shattered mirror. It symbolises the Queens enraged jealousy of Snow Whites’ beauty. I mean, the Queen herself showed a few of the Deadly Sins throughout the story. Envy, Pride & Wrath were traits that she showed during her jealousy of Snow White. In the image, I also added the apple, the fruit in which the Queen used to temporarily poison Snow White. It’s funny, because the apple was the same fruit that both Adam & Eve ate to become banished from the Garden of Eden, but that just a coincidence I guess.
