Maegor I and his Brides- One of the darker points in Westeros History.
From Left to Right- Queen Jeyne Westerling, Princess/Queen Rhaena Targaryen, Queen Elinor Costayne, Queen Tyanna of Pentos also known as Tyanna of the Tower, Queen Alys Harroway, Queen Ceryse Hightower and King Maegor I Targaryen also known as The Cruel.
Maegor was the son of Aegon the Conquer and his sister-wife Visenya, he stole the crown from his half brother, King Aenys I, son Aegon and succeeded to the crown. He was known for his cruelty towards animals and people.
The Black Brides, are on the Left side, Jeyne Westerling, Rhaena Targaryen and Elinor Costayne were all forced to marry Maegor since they had all been married before and produced children.
But it was admitted by Queen Tyanna that she poisoned all of his wives making all there children stillborn monsters, Maegor killed Tyanna with his own hands and cut her heart out with his sword. This was after Maegor had executed Queen Alys for giving birth to a monster child, and was rumored to have poisoned Queen Ceryse after she too did not produce children. Jeyne Westerling died giving birth to a stillborn child, and the only two wives who survive Maegor’s reign is Queen Rhaena (Who’s brother became King after Maegor’s death) and Queen Elinor.
