done for =krimson-katt 's bioluminescence portfolio project . this is a sunset oranda, characterized by its glowing wen and colored in vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds. by day, it nibbles on plants and insects at the surface of the water. by night, it gobbles up whatever fish it can find by the light of its wen. the wen also serves as a lure, because the fish it hunts have even shorter memory-spans than the oranda. hahaha.

about nine hours' work, give or take a few minutes of watching TV and/or allowing paint to dry before continuing. acrylic on canvas paper. hooray for omnivores!
