Description Dr. Mooney Vegapunk, renowned as one of the world's foremost scientists, emerged from humble beginnings on an isolated island known as Lulusia, Transylvania. This unassuming island was home to a tight-knit community, and young Vegapunk, known simply as Mooney back then, was celebrated as the island's pride and joy. The residents held him in high regard, and he reciprocated with his generous nature, using his natural aptitude for invention to assist and uplift his people.

Mooney's early life was characterized by his passion for scientific discovery and an unwavering moral compass. He held a deep sense of justice and a commitment to the betterment of humanity. His inventions were meant to help his fellow islanders and alleviate their lives. This profound connection to the inhabitants of Lulusia remained at the core of his character, and his sense of morality was unwavering. He refused to engage in morally questionable experiments, especially those that involved children or caused harm to innocent individuals.

However, his life would take a dramatic turn when the One Pantheon Regime set its sights on Lulusia, particularly on a descendant of Hestia, Moda D. Magdalene, who resided on the island. To acquire this valuable lineage, the regime was willing to go to great lengths, including eliminating the island's population. When the One Pantheon Regime turned on Mooney and his beloved island to further their nefarious plans, the residents of Lulusia looked to him with hope, expecting their brilliant scientist to devise a solution.

However, realizing the peril his island faced and recognizing the dangerous knowledge he had acquired regarding the Void Century and the Ohara Incident, Vegapunk knew he had to escape for his life and safety. The drastic shift in his life and the potential harm his work posed made him aware of the perilous nature of his pursuits as a scientist.

At this point, Vegapunk's life intertwined with the enigmatic MADS organization, led by Vegapunk D. Cutty XXXIX, and then with the infamous Xebec D. Rocks. Seeking a combination of survival and the means to continue his scientific research, Vegapunk made a challenging decision to join the One Pantheon Regime. This choice allowed him to use their resources to further his humanitarian goals, an idealistic vision of a world free from conflict and suffering. He believed that by working with the regime, he could implement groundbreaking inventions on a global scale to make the world a better place.

As part of his alliance with the One Pantheon Regime, Vegapunk developed a series of artificial dragons on Punk Hazard and even attempted to replicate Kaido's Spirit Animal, although it didn't meet his exacting standards due to being pink instead of blue. His drive for perfection and his passion for exploration and discovery were evident in his work.

Vegapunk's life was marked by an inner conflict, with the "Shaka" side of him exemplifying his strong sense of morals, justice, and humanitarianism, while the "Lilith," "York," "Edison," "Pythagoras," and "Atlas" sides showcased his complex nature, including moments of malevolence, a tendency toward greed, flashes of anger, and an unwavering dedication to scientific progress. This internal struggle underscored the multi-faceted nature of a man dedicated to achieving great progress while trying to reconcile his moral and ethical values.

Vegapunk's story was a journey of both scientific innovation and ethical reflection, emphasizing the challenges and ethical dilemmas that scientists often face in their quest for knowledge and progress. Throughout his life, he grappled with questions of morality, the limits of scientific inquiry, and the responsibilities that come with his groundbreaking work. His role as a scientist was as intricate as the inventions he created, making him a central figure in the ever-evolving world of "Jesus Kills the Gods."
