Description Like I said I would, I finally colored Shera, my Thundercats OC. She's a lovely Golden Tabby Tiger, as you can see. I wanted to add a background to this, but I haven't figured out how to make proper backgrounds on the program I'm using yet. I might end up updating this when I find out how to do it. Also, I'm thinking, for the next colored picture I make of her, that I should make her stripes a darker shade of brown. It seems it would look better that way. I drew this on my tablet. I'm getting a little better with it, thankfully. I'll probably work with it more tomorrow(yay~ no school)!

Wow. You have a lot of talent! I'm not usually attracted to this style of art, but there's just something intriguing about this.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

She's so pretty!
*huggles Shera*

What program are you using now?

Thank you xD. I'm using that Corel Painters Essentials 4 program. The coloring tools aren't to be desired. I might download something else :l. At least it can undo mistakes. I would almost have a stroke whenever I made all those errors on the wrong layer in iScribble xD. It drove me crazy!

iScribble has given me new appreciation for Photoshop, that's true.
Never used Corel Painter...

Yeah. I tried giving it a chance, but it really does suck. I'm gonna download something else xD. Shannon downloaded something new on her computer, and she says she likes it better than gimp, so I'm probably gonna use that too.

From what I've seen of it, Gimp seems rather basic.

TheAmazingAl In reply to KitWolfren [2011-09-16 18:34:01 +0000 UTC]

Well, I am pretty basic when it comes to coloring xD. I have a long way to go. The thing is, I hardly ever color my pictures. Until a year ago, I didn't even put any pictures online. I'm a super novice ;^>

*laughs* I suppose it's easier to go further when you've got the right tools. Part of why I love Photoshop. It's got everything I need and then some.

Photoshop costs money, doesn't it? I can't get that till I move out of the house xD. My dad is strict with spending money on computer programs. I'm drawing a full body picture of Shera to the song "You Make Me Feel Good" by Cobra Starship. I'm not the biggest fan of American Pop, but this song is so fun O_o. She's winking. That's partially the song's fault though.

KitWolfren In reply to TheAmazingAl [2011-09-16 18:48:20 +0000 UTC]

Yeah American Pop hasn't been my favorite, so most references go right over my head. I just nod and smile, nod and smile.

Photoshop can get expensive. That's so true. But really, you don't need to push for the newest version. I'm using CS5 right now. It's doing fine.

Maybe I will use it when I get better . I could ask my parents for it as a birthday or Christmas present maybe. I usually don't ask for anything for Christmas anyway, so that might not be a bad idea >

Trust me, you're better!
Oh yeah... Christmas is comingup... I should start shopping >.<

TheAmazingAl In reply to KitWolfren [2011-09-16 19:33:40 +0000 UTC]

LOL. It's not even Halloween yet and you want to start shopping for Christmas?! Oh, you are so silly >w>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KitWolfren In reply to TheAmazingAl [2011-09-16 19:40:18 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Usually I'm shopping all year, whenever I find something that's good for a Christmas gift. By August or September I'm usually done.

Wow. You're the absolute antithesis of a procrastinator in that sense. Have a cookie *gives you a cyber cookie*. I actually drew decent female legs for once. The world must be ending O_o

Woohoo! I'm a leg person.

I love Christmas. I'm not christian, but it's definitely one of my favorite holidays. I go all out. Though I hate Christmas shopping during the season, so that's why I get my gifts ahead of time.

Tis understandable. The parking lots are a nightmare, and I don't even have a license yet xD. I'm happy though, because I'll have one before summer >:3, and that's all that counts xD. I don't know how driving made me think of this, but sometime in spring, my mom, Shannon, and I are going to Florida and one of the places we're visiting is Big Cat Rescue. I am SO EXCITED OwO! I can't wait

KitWolfren In reply to TheAmazingAl [2011-09-16 20:31:21 +0000 UTC]

Awesome! That would be great. Take pictures!

Driving isn't hard, so don't let anyone scare you.

TheAmazingAl In reply to KitWolfren [2011-09-16 20:37:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh I know. I used to think it was scary, but after doing Driver's Ed. and practicing some more, it's not all that bad. I'm contemplating whether or not I should ink my picture. What do you think? Should I just make the pencil marks dark, or should I actually ink it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KitWolfren In reply to TheAmazingAl [2011-09-16 20:41:26 +0000 UTC]

Driver's Ed is a blessing. Mine was easy thankfully.
Nothing wrong with inking, just be careful about hard lines. Sometimes it can look kinda cartoony if you overdo the lines. I've been working hard on minimalizing my lines as much as I can.

TheAmazingAl In reply to KitWolfren [2011-09-16 20:46:28 +0000 UTC]

Okay, I'll ink it then. I'm going to hate coloring this. The top part is fine, I guess, but the legs will kill me. *Puts on game face* I CAN DO THIS
