Munny, if you hadn't heard of it, is a blank vinyl doll from KidRobot.com that you can decorate yourself. They come in black, white, and glow in the dark along with a set of mystery accessories. I was introduced to the product late last year and I've been crazy for them ever since! As you can see, I've been painting these guys up like anime characters. I think I'll produce other originals later, but for now, I'm getting a feel as to how paint interacts with the vinyl and what not to do XD

Kakashi here is actually my second Munny Project. Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece was my first. These are painted with acrylic paint, some black sharpie permanent marker, and in Kakashi's case, his headband is blue cloth with aluminum foil. The hair for Kakashi was cannibalized from my husband's Jiraiya costume. It worked perfectly! I love the effect it gave the doll too (aside from making it appear half again as tall.

Both arms are posable and the head moves. As a bonus, I created the headband so you could lift it and reveal his Sharingan eye. Here are some other photos of the Kakashi and Luffy Munnies.

Both Kakashi and Luffy were raffle prizes at A-kon this year. They were received with smiles, so that made all the hard work worth it! Next up I plan on doing an Inuzuka Kiba Munny, Samus Aran from Metroid, and a WindWaker Link.
