Description The accent over the "U" did't take.
This is the first in a series of photos inspired by classical compositions. I got the idea after watching Disney's "Fantasia" in which artists were asked to draw pictures that came to their minds based on a musical composition. The resultant imaes often had nothing to do with the theme of the music (with the exception of "Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Dukas) but a lot to do with the artist's imaginations.

The image I associated (and have long associated) with this composition is exactly what I have depicted here--a single flower left for an absent beloved.

No wonder this is a love song from Beethoven.
Great music, great composition on your art!

I agree with the above comment, it is very romantic and in itself seems classical, lovely shot! Fantasia is my all time favorite animated film. I'm an animation student and would love to have the opportunity to do that someday

Very beautiful piece, love the B&W contrast and the red rose, very effective, especially with what song sheet its laying on, very well done

Though the background is busier than "After the Concert," I like that this is straighter. The colors I certainly don't mind. If you could get the straightness of this background, coupled with the subject of the previous artwork After the Concert...

Do you play the piano?

Jaguaro

PS: When I was a young lad, I played Fur Elise in a concert at the historic El Chamizal, a cultural center between Texas and Mexico! I think it was one of my better recitals. That, and the quality of your work, are why I'm favin' this!

Great shot. I think the rose needs some dew on it or some kind of lighting job on it. But, I what do I know.

I might try to add a dew drop in PS. I had toyed w/that idea, but didn't want to get water on the piano.

I didn't think about that and I use to play piano. I guess you have a point.

Hmmm, I might try that one. I have to find the best time to do it, but I think it can be done, since the piano faces te window.
