So survivor of an apocalypse, eh? Or atleast a self-induced apocalypse from the human race's point of view.

The blue tongue is awesome, it always seems to stand out. I'm all like "what's that in his mouth?""TONGUE!" x]
So did the modifying give him his superyellow coat too? Its pretty bright but it isn't totally in your face.

Yeah, you could say that
I think we're sort of asking for it anyways in some aspects..

Yep! And on a side note, that's why Zorba is red, and so on. Most of the GMO are mostly primary colors or saturated versions of what they're supposed to look like.

Disease? May Noko ask
what it is?

Thanks! :]
Well, its a long story, but why not

The disease was created in a time when people had claimed every inch of the available space on earth [choking out 99% of the world's wildlife] and durastically limiting the food resources available. Scientists resorted to mutating the last natural plants and domestic animals in chemical plants to try and rebuild a stable food source. After thousands of failed attepts, the DNA of the subjects were beyond mutated [as in as deformed as you could get], and were too lethal for the human race to live off of. People were running out of options, and untouched specimens no longer existed. Only a few short months after this realization, did the human race die off. The only creatures that were left were the: 1] Cloned/deformed plants, 2] C/D animals, and 3] genetically mutated organisms.

The GMO [Genetically Mutated Organisms] mostly consisted of common house pets, their wild cousins, and the human experiments. Most of the GMO didn't have natural colors and often had 'other' abilities.

After the people died, the GMO were left to their own devices. Some escaped from their cages, some died, and some bred with each other, and others were intelligent enough to start their own family groups and what-not. But, this close interacion between the GMO spawned new diseases and infections that spread up and down every gene pool still around.

One of these diseases is related to necrosis, and causes the body to destroy itself - and thanks to some mixed-matched gene - turn the body into 'living ash'. The ash was really just the dissolved flesh of the GMO, and usually floated around the leftover bones in shapes that resembled the animals that they were. [So a wolf GMO could have a wolf skull surrounded by its ashes in the shape of the rest of its body.]

The first thing to go in this particular disease is the tongue, because it is unprotected and in a damp environment [encouraging infection]. Aaaaand, that's where Compas is atm.

SORRY FOR THAT SPAM! XD
