Setting: Benoliz braced himself for his first gym challenge. With his Pokemon by his side, our trainer puts on a brave face and walks in...

Benoliz: "Our first gym challenge…" (looking around the restaurant-styled gym)

*Suddenly, 3 waiters surround Benoliz carrying tin plates and covers*

Waiter: "Welcome; would you like to try one of our entrées? They all come with a side of BATTLE! (They lift the covers to reveal a Lillipup, Patrat, and Purrloin)

*Clyde uses Incinerate on Lillipup!*

*Llia uses water gun on Patrat!*

*Miki Tackles the Purrloin!*

Benoliz: (Watching the waiters back down) "…you three seem ready."

Miki: "As ever!"

Llia: "We’re behind you on this, Ben!"

Clyde: (nodding) "…mhm."

Benoliz makes his way up the walk, moving past tables and curtains

Cilan: (bowing) "Ahh, yes, welcome to our gym, young trainer. I’m Cilan, and I like grass-type Pokémon...we’re uhm…gonna battle, come what may." (Sends out a Lillipup and Pansage, engaging battle!)

Miki: "I’ve got this runt of the Lillipup litter! Clyde, simmer that broccoli ape!" (Tackles Cilan's Lillipup, KOing it)

Clyde: "…" (stern expression)

Benoliz: "You can do this Clyde! You’ve the upper hand!"

*Clyde gets vinewhipped, then retaliates with Incinerate, KOing the Pansage!*

Benoliz: (walking out of the gym, holding up the badge) "You could say Cilan was……wait for it…..pan-seared black."

Miki: "Ben….don’t do that again, it was lame."

Clyde: *giggle*

Llia: (smiles) "We’re one step closer to your goal, right Ben?"

Benoliz: (Putting the badge into a case) "That we are, you guys…thanks for sticking with me for this…"

Llia: "It’s nothing, Ben~ I told you we’re behind you."

Fennel: (Hastily walking up to Benoliz) "Hey there! I’m Fennel!"

Benoliz: "Oh..right..! A friend of Prof.Etc…?"

Fennel: (shrugging) "Well, I owe him a favor. He wanted me to give you something…the Hidden Machine to teach your Pokémon to cut."

Benoliz: (is handed the HM) "I see...thanks!"

Fennel: "Now…if you would…go to the Dreamyard and collect some dream mist for me? Munna emit it."

Benoliz: "Oh, uhm. Sure I guess I could."

Fennel: "Thanks!" (Running off)

Setting: The Dreamyard

Benoliz: "Clyde, cut this tree down!"

Clyde: "Ha!" (he cuts it)

Tessle: (on the other side of the wall) "Oh! Hey Benoliz! You looking for Munna too? Apparently they can show you dreams…wonder how it works…"

*they both come upon a Munna*

Tessle: "There she is~!" (it floats off) "Oh, wait..!"

*Team plasma grunts come in from the opposite direction, making Tessle and Benoliz stop in their tracks.*

Grunt1: "There’s Munna!"

Grunt2: "Let’s squeeze all the dream mist out of it!"

Tessle: "What?! Aren’t you guys…who were they…" (thinking to herself as she rummages through her bag)

Benoliz: "Team Plasma…!"

Grunt1: "Hmph. Then you know we must liberate your Pokémon from you!" (sends out a Purrloin)

Tessle: "Don’t you lay a finger on Ben's Pokemon!"

Llia: "Don’t worry, miss Tessle! We’ve got it covered!"

Miki: "You bet! (tackles the Purrloin, while Llia finishes it with Water Gun)

Grunt2: "I can’t believe we lost to some kids..!"

Grunt1: "C’mon, we have to get the mist..!" (kicks the Munna)

Munna: "Mu….naaa!"

Tessle: "Cut it out you punks!"

*Suddenly Ghetis phases in*

Ghetis: "What are you two doing goofing off?"

Grunts: "L-let’s get out of here…!"

*The Ghetis phases out*

Musharna: "Darling, I'm here…! You're safe now!"

Tessle: "Ohhh….I see…it was a dreams made by the Musharna..!"

Fennel: (Running in) "Hey you two..! I couldn’t wait so I…- oh! A Musharna?"

Musharna: "Are you alright, child?"

Munna: Yeah! These people saved me with their Pokemon! (they float away)

Fennel: "Did something happen..?"

Tessle: "Yeah…these creeps called Team Plasma were roughing up that Munna! But the Musharna scared them off with a dream." (Scratching her head)

Fennel: "That means…! *Squeal* Yes, dream mist!" (she picks it up) "You two come by my lab later, got it?" (She runs off back to Striaton)

Tessle: "Well…"

Benoliz: "That was…rather random, to say the least. Let’s go see what she wants us for now..?"

Tessle: "Aha, yeah..but uhh, I want to stick around here for a while, you go ahead."

Benoliz: "Sure, let me just explore a bit myself…"

*Encounters a Munna by walking in the grass*

Miki: "….what..? You can’t be serious."

Benoliz: "Clyde was a gift; he doesn’t count as an encounter. Fair game." (throws a great ball, catching it)

Nadoh, Lv.10 Naïve Nature; Capable of taking hits. (Male)

Setting: Route 3-Day Care, after visiting Fennel in her lab...

Benoliz: (looking at the C-Gear she gave him and walking) “What’s a save file…?”

Nadoh: (Floating around Ben's head) "Benoliz! Who were those mean humans who were kicking my sister?"

Benoliz: "They call themselves Team Plasma. They want to keep Pokémon and Humans separate, it seems. “Liberation” is the term they’re using, but…I don’t get it…if they want Pokémon to be free and independent…it doesn’t make sense why those grunts were hurting a Pokémon when their goal is to try and protect."

Nadoh: "Hypocrites! I hope I can get back at them for what they do!"

Benoliz: "Well…I’m not sure they’re all like that…I hope not. But we might run into them again."

Llia: "I’m certainly not looking forward to witnessing another scene like earlier. We’ll help you fight them!"

Nadoh: "Yeah!"

Benoliz: "Heheh…being able to understand what you guys are saying certainly makes this trainer business easier. I like hearing what you all have to say and what you think about what we humans do.

Miki: "Even me, Ben?" (Pawing at his leg)

Benoliz: "Well sure! And any other misfits we take along with us."

Clyde: "We’re….misfits…?" (looking down)

Benoliz: "Haha, I don’t mean it negatively." (patting Clyde)

Miki: "I like it. Misfit Miki~"

Two males, two females. Eternal Balance achieved.
I felt so happy finding a Munna as my first dreamyard encounter. And also yeah sorry this is quite a deal long and the picture only represents a small beginning segment of the script....but jeez, it's hard to decide what I want to visually accentuate more. The gym battle, or the dreamyard incident? But my general goal is to get 3 pages of script to go with a picture.

As for the picture itself, I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks to those who came by for the stream! I'll do another one on the 16th.
The coloring is appealing and I used a more 'painterly' brush for the lines and colors. My tablet pens seems to suffer because of it though. x'3
