I really want to try this! However, how did you get the splashing effect, and did it have an effect on the figure? ( Any fading of paint or water in joints? )

I used a shower nozzle placed at low pressure in a certain angle. And it didn't cause any damage to the figure.
Water is pretty harmless to most figures. XD
It did get really wet, but to fix that, all you have to do is take the figure apart and leave it to dry up a bit.
I was actually more afraid of getting the camera wet than the figure.

It's a "hybrid" Nendoroid Petite.
The head is from the Miku Hatsune Cheerful Japan! Nendoroid Petite that came with vol.08 of Quarterly Pixiv "magazine".
And the body belongs to the Koron Seika Nendoroid Petite, which came with a limited edition of the DS game Doki Doki Majo Shinpan!. C:
