Drawn for my Writing and Illustrating Children's Books class. The assignment was to create a story, and draw a scene from it.

After being told by the kids in his class that they would be his friends if he finds a legendary wildflower, Naikanni ventures into the woods in search. After spending hours looking for the elusive greenery, he finally stumbles upon it. Uprooting the delicate flower, he eagerly takes it back to his classmates only to be rejected and left heartbroken, despite his best efforts. Still, he returns home with the flower, potting it and happily keeping it as a friend.

Kind of a tragic story, I know... But the purpose is to illustrate that not everything in life works out the way we want it to, but that good things can still come.

This looks much nicer in reality, I promise. Life without a scanner is a painful one, indeed.
