In August of 2155, while Enterprise, Columbia, and the other Earth vessels protected the trade routes from the Romulans, the NX-03 Challenger was quietly launched alongside her sister, the NX-04 Discovery. Both ships were launched rather unceremoniously in order to avoid attention from the Romulans, fearing that they might try to destroy or even capture one of the most advanced starships Earth had ever built.
