Description

I thought I'd do something a little different this time. I hope you enjoy.

What If the exclusive Malibu Comics Characters were in Mortal Kombat (2011), this time I'm focusing on the Blood & Thunder, Battlewave and Super Book characters.

With the bios I wrote, I tried to be respectful to their source material as possible but also tweak it enough that they could fit neatly into the Mortal Kombat (2011) narrative. It was difficult as some barely have any character or motivation but I've added context below.

Aynos

After rereading the B&T comics, very little is mentioned about Aynos, her village or it's people, other than she killed it's former Cheiftain to become the village's Queen. Therefore I made the village more mysterious and secretive and Aynos' character more darker based on her actions and the comments she makes.

Bo

Again not much is mentioned about him, so tried to establish his character a bit more and how he and Johnny Cage met, along with why he is not present during the MK1 or MK2 contests. It's not perfect so I may rewrite it down the line.

Grum

Most details are taken directly from the comics. Though I did make him weaker than Goro and Kintaro, to establish the need for nunchaku and why sub zero defeated him in one hit in the comics.

Henge

Mostly added context regarding the Dream Realm (mentioned in Freddy's 2011 and Tremor's X endings) and how it relates to the Nightmare Realm where Henge is from. Also in the comics Henge is brought into the real world by a group of red ninjas, and in an episode of Defenders of the Realm (Abandoned), there is a group called the Red Ninjas, so I merged the two and used them to explain how he enters the real worlds.

Hydro

Since the comics had him with Sub Zero the majority of the time while in game he's obviously no where to be seen, I decided to give him a separate mission, to locate the Tao Te Zhan, explaining his absence. Also the Tao Te Zhan featured quite heavily in that series, so thought it would be a nice call back.

Lance

As there are several versions of Sonya's partner, I decided to use the Malibu comics, Lance design, while using parts of the backstory from the novel and Defenders of the Realm's Wexler character.

The Player

Mostly one for one from the Super Book, other than The Player doesn't actually face Raiden and the MK characters immediately upon entering the MK universe instead actually wants to seek Raiden out, so he can return him home.

Siang

Mostly stuck to the source material here except I changed Siang being the Order of Light's representative in the ninth tournament for Earthrealm rather than the tenth to explain his absent in MK (2011).
