Description

Finally, a new wallpaper, and it is the biggest one yet! It features most common weapons used by the Allied forces during the Vietnam War. This includes South Vietnam, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and South Korea. The camouflage pattern used for the background is the U.S. designed green ERDL pattern (also known as the Leaf pattern), designed in 1948 but only fielded for the first time in 1967 with recon units in the Vietnam War. It goes without saying that the wallpaper only features a selection of the most commonly used weapons of the conflict, a lot more weapons (especially handguns and shotguns) were used but I tried to base my selection on both notoriety and numbers used during the conflict.

The main reasons it took so long was the fact that I started to add shading/shadows to my drawings about a year ago, but I had already drawn most of these so I had to recolor them. In the meantime I was abroad for school and very busy and I just did not have the time to finish it until recently. Because of this all of the guns in this wallpaper are new drawings, only a few are recolors of previousely released drawings.
