Rumours suggest the Vileplume line will be getting Alolan forms in #PokemonUltraSunMoon. What if we've already met Alolan Vileplume, or its equivalent? Gloom is one of few Pokémon with a branch evolution, which results in the appearance of Bellossom when exposed to a Sun Stone instead of a standard Leaf Stone.

The micro-climates of Alola would seemingly make the Sun Stone's effect redundant so what if in Alola, a Leaf Stone evolves Alolan Gloom's into Bellossom. How then would the Alolan Oddish and Gloom access the Vileplume branch evolution? By using the polar opposite evolution method, a classic Moon Stone!

Chances are there won't be any new Alolan forms in the new game but if there were, wouldn't it be nice to give this evolution line some symmetry and bypass a 3rd evolution in the form of an Alolan Vileplume?
