Description Backround: Beeing the most succesful british fighter aircraft of wwi, the sopwith cameldowned 1294 enemy aircraft. This small but tough airplane was known for its extreme manoeveability. The Camel had 2 machine guns on its nose. The camel could reach 189 km/h . Over 5000 of these aircraft were produced. Many aces flew the camel and pilots like the aircraft a lot. The camel got its name from the machine gun cowlings which reminded pilotsof camel humps. Although a good aircraft, the camel was not a beginner aircraft. The plane was an unforgiving one, it was so manoevrable that it was difficutl to star the plane without flippingit over. In fact more machines and pilots were lost during trainign flihts than in actual combat. Nevertheless it was liked by the pilots who flewit and it was used with great success. In late 1917,camels ruled the skie sover the battlefields. But the camel found its master in the fokker dr 1triplane. Although slower, the triplane was even more manoevrable than the camel. But the triplane was not produced in big numbers so the camels still had the upper hand. Today many camels remain in museums and some even fly today.

The kit. Revell, 1/72

Detail: Again not very good, a pilots figure is all we have for the cockpit. The rests however nice. The engine could have been better .
***
Fitting: Very nice, I had no problems
*****
Functions. Prop is movable and wheels too-if you are able to make them movable, its really hard to do it.
*****
Decals: Nice ones, they are big and very appealing. Also they have the typical awesome revell quality
*****
Extrapoints: Its a beautiful machine and the kit is very nice, I personally like it a lot
*****
Fazit: Although lacking detail, its a very very nice small kit. Its easy to asemble and i can absolutely recommend it.

Love your models and facts you write about them, love to read it.
Hmm the white circles on the top, shall it be a try to make it look like eys or what is the story behind the markings like that?

How did you get the big white decal rings to go on without silvering? I certainly couldn't.
