Description Way back when, caught my 20K kiriban. So finally, here's her prize: a picture of her character Sif. I really had fun doing this one, and it was so neat to experiment with a color of light and shadow that's not yellow and purple respectively. Thanks so much, Sion, for all your patience in waiting for this! I hope you like her!

OMG, no way. What a pain in the ass... I can't imagine wearing sleeves like that in earnest. I'm glad you like the colors... purple is one I don't use too often as a main color (it's more of a shadow color for me), but I think it worked out. :3

I love how sexy and mature she looks! And her corset's just gorgeous! *¬* And the blue highlights worked out great - one of the hardest things for me is trying out "bolder" or more dramatic lighting and colour schemes.

I really like the gears on her face(if thats what they are) And the bordering for this picture...I've never seen that before. Its very nice.

Thank you! That is what it is, I think... I ended up using a brush *sionra made, since the whole thing is UNGODLY complicated. XD The border is done with the help of a great set of brushes styled after Victorian corners by ~green-eyed-butterfly .

And thank you so much! Yeah, purple is a very sadly neglected color, I try to use it when I can. It's definitely Sif's color of choice, so it was a good excuse.

Thanks! I was really trying to do something different with the lighting, so I'm glad you like it. The knees were fun... the lower portion of legs have always been a bit of a weak point for me, so I'm trying to slowly get better at them. I was looking at *Stregatto10 's version of Sif for outfit inspiration, since like you said, I think an "adult" look fits her.

Aw, you're so kind. I mean that I'm generally not comfortable drawing legs and feet, they often seem to come out looking like giant clodhoppers. But I'm slowly improving!

Well, I'm just struggling myself at the moment, because I really have to work hard on a sketch with a very difficult position for me.
But now... after 2 hours of not seeing it, i figured out the mistake and corrected it XD

Ah, thanks! And you're right, I probably could. Lighting is something I'm totally the opposite of confident about, so I never want to push it hard-- it's just so easy to screw up! I'm slowly trying to get more bold with it, though... maybe next time I'll experiment on a piece that isn't intended for somebody else so I can screw up as much as I need to.
