Shiny black version of the Bulldog. I'll do a dirty military spec version soon. I just thought this looked cool.

Yeah, I would love to kit-bash and make some planes and robots like that. Model kits are perfect for making sci-fi stuff as well. I have some friends that do that.

I built a space ship from the front end of the 2001 Moonbus kit, a tank and some balsa wood and made a reactor engine from a 24th scale car tire and one of my mother's more ornate hair curlers.
One I made for a Super 8 space movie was an enemy invader spaceship made of a 1/32 scale Hughes OH6a helicopter body (like the chopper on Magnum PI) clipped off the end of the tail rotor and built Delta Wings for the sides of the shaft and a clipped delta for the tail fin/rudder and then put upside down in the tail fin's midsection a 1/72 scale B52 engine pod (now i realize I should have put it on top of the tail fin--structurally unsound, but much cooler) a balsa strip at the bottom under the cockpit with two skids from the 2001 Moonbus for the landing gear. I photographed it with a less than perfect 110 Camera (negative width about a quarter of 35mm) with some other model planes and helicopters on my roof that had thick slate tile that at that scale, looked like a roman ampitheater and many people thought they were real planes.
man...you guys now can whip something up and all you have to do is wait for it to render, but you can make the movie I could only see in my head years ago. I guess I can't fault Lucas for fiddling with Star Wars after all.

XD Yeah, 3d modeling also cuts down on all the debris and extra glue etc. Although I guess you're more likely to get corporal tunnel.
