No! Dark Samus, Daisy, Chrom, Ken, Ridley, Simon, Richter, King K. Rool, Isabelle, Piranha Plant, Joker and Hero were the worst mistakes the franchise made!

Echo Fighters were a cool idea to add extra franchise representation without too much development effort (also surprised you didn't mention Lucina and Dark Pit, but not going to complain), Ridley and King K. Rool were highly requested characters that not only added much needed villain representation to the roster, but well deserved extra representation from Metroid and Donkey Kong while making it more diverse as opposed to adding another Samus or Kong, Castlevania has history with Nintendo and the style and music library were a welcome edition especially for the ones who begged for Simon, Animal Crossing is too big a franchise to give to just Villager and Isabelle was the natural choice as the de facto mascot and fan favorite, Piranha Plant is a fun joke character and proof that good character doesn't have to be a heavily requested one, Persona 5 was one of the biggest JRPGs of the last few years and brought all sorts of amazing visuals and songs to Smash, and the Hero was a top pick for the Japanese audience and resulted in a fun, random character.
Bayonetta has none of that, was the result of a rigged ballot, completely broke Smash 4, barely exists in Ultimate, sticks out like a sore thumb among the cast, and is by far the least deserving character to be in Smash Bros. Besides maybe Dr. Mario, but at least he has the excuse of being based off another fighter. They had to work for this abomination.

I don't care if she's your main. She is legitimately the worst character they have ever put into Smash Bros. It would have been a better decision to include Master Chief and ruin his moveset by making him a clone of Samus than it would have been to include this ugly wench.

tl;dr summary: She was a let-down after the build-up of the ballot, she's a shallow and overpowered character in her own game, she doesn't belong in Smash bros, she broke the game, and every other third party character makes sense besides her.
