Sitting crouched on the creaky chair, legs pulled up to his chest like he sits with Mr. Corner, Crona gnawed fretfully at his lower lip. He had been feeling particularly melancholic today, enough in fact that Maka had called attention to it and reminded him of finding a more constructive outlet than just brooding. The confrontation had embarrassed him frightfully, but the pig-tailed meister only meant the best for him and it was the least he could do to not bother his friend with his pathetic mood swings.

So here he sat, mind a swirling miasma of conflicting messages, trying to finish a poem that just wouldn't be realized. The little black demon had taken to gleefully tossing his failed attempts about the room and generally making a mess of things, though he seemed content for now to pass throws at the overflowing trash can and make horribly distracting basketball sound effects. At least Ragnarok had stopped insulting every word he tried putting to paper now... he didn't know how to cope with such criticism.

Swapping his pencil to his left to rest his cramping right hand, Crona let out a horribly depressing sigh and squiggled out a doodle on the page before him. Gradually the image took on a familiar likeness and on a whim he added pigtails to the face on the paper. The hours spent in his lonely, drafty room may have been a waste in finding a medium to describe his emotional distress- but staring at the friendly face of his favorite person, even as a doodle, Crona felt a little better anyways.

I ship these two so hard. XD

Trying for more practice with rooms and texture. The really nice comments on my last CroMa picture sort of inspired me to make another picture centered with this pair (though its more implied and less direct...).
