Description "Let me remind you of the reason your kind once held fear of the dark..."

Wow, it feels a little weird uploading this on Christmas...

Behold the second of my plague hounds- Ebola, the eldest and most powerful. She was designed after the spotted hyena, but only in a vague sense.

The Ebola Plague Hound: None truly know of how long Ebola has dwelt in this plane of existence- her fellow plague hounds have oft speculated that she has somehow always lurked in the shadows, a nameless terror that the still living instinctively know.

Her form is not even fully solid- Ebola's appearance is solely up to her fancy, be it some parody of opacity or a variety of liquid. Whether she can shift into a gaseous state and somehow make herself airborne is still left to speculation (and a horrifying thought even to other plague hounds).

How she 'feeds' is another unique quality of hers, for she doesn't actually eat in the traditional sense. Instead she absorbs her victims into herself, frequently through the terrible act of pouring her liquid-self into every orifice she can find in the poor soul and slowing dissolving them from the inside out, changing their very makeup into the dark matter that manifests her.

One particular trait, however, sets her apart from the others even with her vast accumulation of experience- she is utterly insane. Though her personality is motherly in bearing, she actually believes that her 'taking in' of other beings is the only true act of love (she laments not being able to ' properly' show the other plague hounds her affection). Many times one would find her crooning and caressing the faces of her victims, whispering loving words of praise and promises of protection even as she slips never ending rivers of dark fluid down their throats, nose, ears, into the spaces of their eyes....

Luckily (for the world in general) Ebola has rarely left the secluded darkness of her caves in deep Africa. Her liquid form makes giving chase to prey rather difficult so usually she prefers to sit patiently and devour instead the unlucky creatures that roost there, eerily glowing eyes set to watch for the hapless few villagers that may stumble into her waiting embrace.
