Capt. Jack Logan with RIO Ryan Williams, was on Combat Air Patrol, and sighted this Mig31 Foxhound getting to close to the carrier. At first, it didn't do anything, but then it moved in a threatening manner against one of the escort ships. Orders where to scare the bandit away, but when an object was sighted coming off of the Mig, the Hawkeye gave clearance to shoot the bandit down. The missile fired by the mig was shot down by the escort, but the Mig had different problems. This Mig even tried to turn with the Tomcat... as you can tell... a pure interceptor in a turning fight with a Tomcat, doesn't end well for Foxbats and Foxhounds....The missile is an AIM-9X, and the Foxhound has decided to make a run for it.... a little to late

I had a situation just like this in my AC fanfic! a bunch of Belkan Tu-95s were attacking the carrier, escorted by MiG-31s. needless to say in close up dogfights the Foxhound is "Tomcat Chow" XD
