What i like about this piece is how the water is so visible. That in itself i think is a great achevment to get them to stand out. The legs on the insect, i think its perhaps a dragon fly?, is how you see every single hair and how detailed it is. There is no blurryness or out of focus makes on it. I have never seen one of these insects so close up and it amases me how off looking they are. The eyes have a lovly quality of how the colour are shown and changing.
One slight distracting think i find is the background, i think it would have helped it if was slightly darker as it would have made the strand stand out more, at the bottem of the image it is harder to distinguish between it, but then it is also slightly blurry there becuse of focus, so it is not that bad in that context. Another things i fiund distracting is the light white mark on the upper right side, it takes away the eye when it should be fermly focused upon the insect.

I hope you take my comment as constructing rather than offence, because i really do love this image.
