Pokemon officially started 1995, 1990 were the ideas for such rpgs, it was called "Capsulemonsters" the beta pokemon. there were also many pokemon ideas who got replaced.
The first pokemon ever officially created was Rhydon.

Ah yes, starring good old proffessor oak, the man who once saw all 150 pokemon, and forgot his nephews name. Also staring ash ketchum, who slept in the most important day of his life and still became the greatest pokemon dude-guy ever.
And lets not forget good old Team Rocket! The bumbling boobs jesse and james whos repeated poetry and rare talking meowth touched our hearts so :3

I have to say that my favourite group of starters is the third generation. Charizard is cool, but his type sucks a lot, there have been beter water starters than Blastoiser and Venusaur was in that time the worst starter to use knowing the superiority of the Psychic types.
And well, the five generation show me two really cool starters: Serperior and Samurott and for the fire I have Blaiziken as the coolest.
They aren't the coolest one, mostly the most nostalgic ones, Charizard and Blastoise designe still look cool, but I prefer others.

I didn't mention the second generation as they appeared when we still were childs, so this generation don't get the same critics as the newest ones, but yes, Thyplosion has a really good moveset and speed.

true, but im not sure what it was about silver + gold but they were fun 
Soul Silver and Heart Gold, still my fave of all, but i havent played black or white 1 or 2.

The problem with the fourth generation is that they move too slowly, this problem is solved in the remakes and Black and White, how are, in my opinion, the second best games of Pokemon, been the first the third generation.
In B/W there aren't any pokemon of the others generation so is like when playing Red and Blue, all is new, you have to start from zero and discover what each pokemon can do or what types there are...and the story...oh, I love the plot of that games <3 they acctually have a story to tell.

Yes they really are, they broke with the tradition of the bad organization dismised moment, has a character that thinks teorized about pokemon slavery, two of the starters are <3, there are some really good musics (the bad guy one is as good as Lance/Red theme)

Epic stuff. Yeah the old formula for pokemon games got a little tired. Im glad they shook it up. I like double battles :3 all i gotta say about diamond lol. wish there was more.

In terms of looks I still prefer Serperior over Venusaur, Samurott over Blastois (it has two swords : DDDD ) and Blaiziken or Infernape over Charizard.
And the mixed types aren't that good too, Torterra didn't lost its weakness to fire, but its gain a double weakness to ice, that's as bad as Charizard double rock weakness and the Fire/fighters gain new weakness with their second type too, the only one that has a really good mixed type is Swampert.

Although Gen I's not my favourite, I do like it a lot (Gen V is probably my fave, but Red was my first game)
Charmander's still my favourite starter and I like Bulbasaur too so I agree a bit.

same, gen 1 was my fave generation but i loved gen 2 as well, and hoenn was awesome to explore in the games

Yeah me too, but concerning the starters, 1st gen is my favorite because I like ALL of them and ALL of their evolutions are nice. Which is something I cant say for the other gens ^^

yeah, for example I'm not so impressed by gen 4 starter evos. And I do like Emboar okay but I think it's dumb how it's the third starter with that type combo :c

Gen I maybe good, but they are not the best in my opinion. They set the bar. My personal favs are: Grass - Chikorita, Fire - Charmander, and Water - Oshawott.
