Description

Pearl is a member of the Crystal Gems, a team of aliens who protect the Earth from outside invasions. Her planet, the GemHomeWorld originally invaded Earth in order to plant gems and have them absorb the planet's life force to grow their children in fields known as "kindergartens". When Rose Quartz decided that the Earth, and it's inhabitants were worth saving, she turned on the HomeWorld, and fought for Earth. Pearl is her faithful knight, fierce in battle, and protective even in Rose's personal life.

When Rose gave up her physical form in order to give birth to her son, Steven Quartz-Universe, Pearl took her death the hardest of any of the gems. Because of her close personal relationship with Rose, she has had difficulty adjusting to life without her. Unfortunately, she sometimes lets these thought out around Steven, but she is fiercely protective of him. She is training a new knight, Connie, to be the protector to Steven that she was for Rose. Pearl is a warrior at heart.
