Description Going for the old/ruined photo look.

The plane in the photo is a Grumman F6F Hellcat. It was an American airplane used in WWII.
"The Hellcat proved to be the most successful aircraft in naval history, destroying 5,271 aircraft while in service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps." - [link]

For that reason, I felt Al might find a fondness for it. Makes up for that Buffalo of his, hopefully? I suppose you could consider this 'photo' being taken before one of the battles it was flown in. Whether it survived for not is up to you.

Ah The Buffalo, now that was one Naval plane i don't like from WW2. The Hellcat however I like! Fixed a few of the problems the Wildcat had and was one heck of a aircraft.

(Sorry for the late reply)

I have not! It's odd, actually. You are the second person who has mentioned KHMN to me because of this pic. (The first was over at LiveJournal) x)

I took a glance at it, but didn't look far into it because the site was in its April Fools layout. I could not figure out how to navigate, or what was a joke and what was not. BD; But do you recommend it? I still have some links in my bookmarks concerning it, and I probably could probably give it another try.

I worry mainly because the only weapons of WWII II am even moderately familiar with are the Japanese Zero (I had to do a study in school on it), and the American Hellcat (Personal prefferance, one day when I was bored). Does it require a lot of outside knowledge to get into? Or do you think I would be able to figure it out~?

YEAH I RECOMMEND IT!
Yeah, you could figure it out... HOWEVER, it's in Japanese, so that may be a problem, but besides that, you don't need that much outside knowledge, but it helps to get some of the references... but otherwise you're fine.
It's cool because the more insane Hetalia fans haven't gotten into/found it yet so that's a plus
(huge A6M Zero fan lol)

Yep. Baffalo! There was a strip Himaruya made in his blog awhile back concerning America and one of his WWII planes, nicknamed the "Buffalo".
It... did not go over well! (For all but Finland)

Here's a link:

(The translation for the strip should be the first post)

Thank you!

This is a scanned picture. However, the old photographic effects were added with the program Paint Tool SAI. It's more of a drawing than editing program, but I like it for both. x)
