Great! Although be sure to paint the tip orange if you're taking it outside, or else it looks real and you could get in trouble for it.

Very nice tutorial!
I'm using a a similar technique to make a 3D object by sanding down layers of the same traced cardboard.
Just a pointer though;
You might get a better finish if you use paper mache (old newspaper and diluted white glue), when it dries up it gets hard enough that you can even sand it down to make it smooth if you wish so.
